Excitement on Nepal Enthused by COTTM, BeijingWednesday, April 19th, 2017

BEIJING, China, April 2, 2017 - China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM 2017) formally opened its door on showcasing over 400 exhibitors from 70 different countries on 29th March. The program was formally launched for three days.The thirteenth China Outbound Travel Tourism Market (COTTM 2017) was held in Beijing at National Agricultural Exhibition Center among different destination countries / regions and 4500 industry / buyers had participated with high enthusiasm. The show has remained the best platform for China outbound tour operators and travel professionals to meet, discuss and contract upcoming seasons for their clients. Visitors could take a lot of advantage on their pursuit of learning of different dimensions of travel and tourism through participating on Exhibitor Workshops.

Together with the main exhibition, the COTTM Conference and Exhibitor Presentations were also organized inside the venue at the same time. Industry leaders were invited to discuss on the key topics within the industry. Such discussions were fruitful for both the suppliers and the consumers. The platform of discussion provided an opportunity to observe into the insight about the current trends as well as changes in the needs and expectations of Chinese consumers. As such, it remained a good communication platform. COTTM continues to be an exciting event, as China is growing its middle class and thus its outbound visitors.

During the fair Nepal stall remained an attractive stall for fresh and live communication of its tourism brand “Naturally Nepal Once is not enough”. The Nepalese stall remained attractive as its tourism destinations are. The stall design also attracted many visitors as Nepal’s tourism products. All tourism marketing and promotional activities carried were circled around four major segments: Nature, Culture, Adventure and Entertainment. The destination brand encompassed Nepal’s potential tourism products with specific focus on tourism segments: weekend’s breaks, amazing adventure and Lifetime experiences. These segments of products were presented with the variety of fresh products and services at hand.

Six Nepalese travel trade companies – Global Asia Tours & Travel, Yeti Airlines, Incentive Holidays, Adventure Outdoor Treks & Expedition, ITour International Travel Service & Water Front Resort, had participated in the fair. They were satisfied with the buyer’s enthusiasm on their products variety. The Happy Hour, organized in Nepal Stall attracted the travel and tourism enthusiasts, professionals and the other like-minded explorers during the program.

The Nepal delegation was led by Officiating Director, Mr. Mani Raj Lamichhane along with Manager Mr. Santosh Kumar Ghimire.
