BANGALORE, India, July 9, 2016 - The joint Sales Mission “Destination Promotion Nepal Now” by Nepal Tourism Board and Nepal Airlines Corporation in the Indian cities of Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore on 5th, 6th and 8th July 2016 received amazing response from the Indian counterpart travel and trade. The programme was a much awaited one by the tourism circle and now they further look forward to frequent visits of Nepal Tourism Board to visit their cities to update the latest tourism scenario of Nepal.

The first and foremost interest of the Indian counterparts in each cities showed their concern for travel by air/road connectivity to Nepal, its frequency, activities the destinations and their safety and security. At the same time they requested Nepal Airlines Corporation for frequent and accurate air connectivity to Nepal from their cities with reliability. They reiterated NAC to come up with offers/schemes/ reasonable rates so as to be able to bring a good number of visitors from India to Nepal when it is obvious for visitors to make a comparison between the mostly enjoyed lower fares to destinations like – Bangkok, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Maldives.

The programme in Mumbai and Bangalore exceeded our expectation with overwhelming participation from the trade. Infact the tourism operators from all three cities showed keen interest in coming to Nepal in a FAM Tour to be able to give first hand information to their clients. Queries on latest routes to Kailash Mansarovar through Nepal were frequently asked by many.

The 8 participating companies from Nepal - Ace Travels Pvt.Ltd. , Aerolina Travels & Tours (P.) Ltd. , Earthbound Expeditions , Hotel Woodland Kathmandu, Peak Promotion Pvt. Ltd., Royal Singi Hotel, Anjali Tour & Travels (P.) Ltd. , Success Holidays Pvt. Ltd held a very fruitful session with their Indian counterparts and answered all the queries with latest information. They expect them to send as many visitors to Nepal for Kailash Mansarovar, religious visits to Pashupatinath and Muktinath, leisure activities and many more.

The presentation by Nepal Tourism Board on destinations and activities won hearts of many in all 3 cities. It was very much informative and helpful to show this to their clients when they wanted to visit Nepal. Most of them even got it copied for future use to be able to give precise information.

The programme by Nepal Tourism Board and Nepal Airlines Corporation in Ahmedabad was first of its kind whereas in other 2 cities NTB has been participating in Travel Trade Fairs with Nepal Evening programmes often. The Indian counterparts were very positive with such programmes and requested Nepal Tourism Board and Nepal Airlines to come up with frequent joint promotional programmes for more impact and to refreshen them .
