Nepal participated at TTF Chennai, 2019Monday, February 11th, 2019

Nepal Tourism Board along with thirteen private companies participated, promoted and highlighted Nepal in TTF, Chennai 2019. The 3-day TTF Chennai edition concluded on February 10, 2019 with strong and productive participation of 125 exhibitors from 8 countries and 19 Indian States and Union territories. TTF Chennai primarily B to B and B to C focused mart witnessed a golden opportunity for local people to choose their best summer holiday destinations and for Travel and Tour companies it provided a platform for exchanging their business ideas and discussion over globally changing tourism patterns both domestically and internationally. Nepal as a partner country in a show welcomed about six thousand visitors and some officials representatives from state tourism board’s of Andra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Himanchal Pradesh, Jharkhanda, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Odisa and the host state Tamil Nadu.

Nepal welcomed 1,273,072 visitors in 2018, of which India alone contributed 17.8 % of the total number of arrival. In this context, India has proved itself as the largest market of the tourism trade of the country. Further, India has become one of the fastest growing outbound travel markets in the whole world. In 2017, there were more than 23 million outbound tourist departures from India and it is anticipated that India will account 50 million outbound tourist in 2020. Not only Indians travelling to international destinations but also their average length of stay being increased. This provides an opportunity for Nepal to be the top priority holiday destination among Indian outbound tourist. To increase number of visitors of country and to achieve the overhanging goal promotion and marketing in the country with total population of 1,354,051,854. Furthermore, Indian can offer much more number of tourists as the trend of travelling is increasing even among people low-mild income.

LTD, Soham Treks and Expedition, Explore Vacation P. Ltd., Summit Air, Satyam Tour & Travel P. Ltd., Kailash Journey P. Ltd., Heritage Tours and Travel P. Ltd., Samrat Tours & Travels P. Ltd., Ojha Holiday Tours & Trek P. Ltd., Jai Mata Di Tour & Travel P. Ltd. , Namaste Holidays Tours & Travel P. Ltd., Exotic Destination Nepal Tours & Treks P. Ltd., and The Trekkers Society P. Ltd. participated and represented Nepal.

With the unique design of pavilion, Nepal Pavilion was the center of attraction among the visitors of the mart. With the theme of Pashupatinath at the center and heritage theme surrounding the center left no visitors to overspell the splendid beauty of pavillion with its artistic coverage. The pavilion was open from four sides which helped the stalls welcome more and more number of visitors visiting the Stall. Nepal Bags with VNY 2020 theme also created a buzz among the visitors. Queries were more focused regarding Kailashnath and Muktinath, Seasons to visit and the major tourism products of the country and the means of transportation to reach Nepal.
