The 1st Asian Resilience Summit and the IIPT Destination Award successfully concluded on 31st May 2019 in the presence of all eminent leaders and participants of national and international tourism and trade sector. There were 7 sessions on various issues related with Tourism Resilience and Sustainability with idea sharing from 40 eminent speakers from around the world.
The first keynote interview with dignitaries and speakers included: His Excellency Mr. Edmund Bartlett - Minister of Tourism, Jamaica, Dr. Taleb Rifai - Former Secretary General UNWTO, His Excellency Mr. Xu Jing – Director of UNWTO, Dr. Mario Hardy- CEO of PATA. The session is being moderated by Ian Taylor, senior journalist Travel Weekly!
Special congratulations to the Community Homestay Network team for winning the Resilience Through Cultural Diversity Award and the KGH Group for winning the Resilience Tourism Business Award.
