One of the other major attractions is the Changu Narayan Temple situated 8 miles East of the Kathmandu valley, this place is a must visit for it is known to be one of the oldest temples of Nepal, which according to legends says to have existed since 325 AD. Make a day’s trip where you can enjoy the rich archaeological relics and stone carvings, which are the oldest epigraphics to Nepalese history. The temple is surrounded by sculptures and arts related to Lord Vishnu. Also we can find the temples of lord Shiva, Ashta Matrika, Chhinnamasta, Kuleshwor and Krishna inside the courtyard of main temple.
If you want to experience Buddhism, then one much visit the Swayambhunath Temple or the Monkey temple, where Buddha’s Eyes bless upon any visitor. It is a break away from the noise and chaos of the city, where you drive 30 mins to a hilltop on the Northwest part of Kathmandu.
