Nepal Receives Booth Decoration Award at TTF Chennai 2015Monday, December 28th, 2015
CHENNAI, India, Jan. 11, 2015 - India’s biggest travel show Travel and Trade Fair (TTF) was successfully held in Chennai Trade Center, Chennai from January 9-11 2015. Participated by over the 160 exhibitors from 9(nine ) countries and 17 states of India, TTF Chennai 2015 drew around 10000 visitors in a three day show.
Nepal’s participation at TTF Chennai portrayed a Nepal pavilion with attractive and colorful graphics with special focus on pilgrimage and soft adventure attraction that Nepal has to offer to the South Indian visitors. NTB received queries for mainly pilgrimage and leisure tours. South Indian have the highest esteem for Lord Pashupatinath and most were interested to visit Manakamana, Muktinath and Damodar Kunda. The younger generation had queries for soft adventure and leisure tourism.
NTB along with Ojha Holidays Tours & Treks,Exotic Destination Nepal Tours & Treks, Adventure Himalaya Travel, Kathmandu Holidays Tours & Travels, Eco Trek International, Samrat Tours & Travels, Himalayan Exodus Treks & Tours, and Columbus Tours & Travels engaged in both B2B and B2C promotion during the fair. Amongst many exciting options, the private sector had customized various lucrative packages for the Indian tourists visiting the fair. Pilgrimage, Leisure, Soft Adventure Activities and Muktinath pilgrimage tours drew special attractions.
NTB received the best Booth Decoration Award for its beautifully designed built in stand that depicted excellent combination of religious and adventure with graphics. During the fair NTB distributed various promotional materials such as Lumbini, Muktinath,Mt. Everest and Bhaktapur Posters, Traveller’s Information and Adventure Attraction Brochures, National Parks and Pilgrimage Tourism Booklets, CD ROMs and typical Nepali Dolls Souvenirs etc. from the Nepal Pavilion to the trade and consumer attending TTF 2015 Chennai.
Along with the private sector companies, Nepal delegation was represented by Kaman Singh Khatri, Under Secretary, Ministry of Culture , Tourism and Civil Aviation, and NTB officials Mr. Jitendra Bhattarai, Sr. Officer - Corporate Services and Mr. Suman Ghimire, Officer - Tourism Products and Resources Development Department.
