Nepal Stall Awarded Best Decorated Stall at TTF AhmedabadWednesday, September 7th, 2016

AHMEDABAD, India, Sept. 4, 2016 - The TTF Ahmedabad came to an ended on Sept. 4, 2016. At the fair Nepal Stall was awarded for best decoration. Nepal’s stall with an area of 36 sq m portrayed major products of Nepal which are of Gujarati interest like Pashupatinath, Nepali culture, Lumbini and wildlife.

The last day was open to consumer who thronged to Nepal Stall with many queries and interest. The major queries were connectivity, situation after earthquake, vegetarian and Jain meals availability in Nepal.

The venue, Gujarat University Exhibition Hall, was buzzing with activity on the last day with more than 535 exhibitors participants from 13 countries and 25 Indian states and Union Territories. Nepal participated as featured country.

Nepal Stall was visited by 3 state tourism ministers from Punjab, Gujrat and Uttarakhand. They were briefed on tourism product of Nepal and mutual tourism promotion partnership. They were eager to learn about Nepal’s promotional endeavor. They were invited to visit Nepal to witness grandeur country offers.

NTB has come up with different aspects of promotion this year with collateral bags with Nepal’s message which were distributed from fair counter itself. All trade visitors are given this bag.

Ahmedabad and Western India are the most lucrative markets for the travel industry this season. TTF Ahmedabad is 25 % bigger than last year.

The fair was inaugurated on September 2, 2016. The 3-day travel and tourism extravaganza is expected to be a one-stop shop of travel and tourism products, showcasing destinations, tourism packages and travel products to help footloose Gujaratis plan and book their holidays. Tourism Boards, hotels, resorts, travel agents, tour operators, online travel agencies, railways, cruise lines – they were all here.

A lot of tour operators in Gujarat are selling Nepal packages very well and doing good business. NTB’s participation is part of continuous endeavor to having more and more Gujarati tourists in Nepal.

Participating travel trade partners with NTB were Satyam Tours, Yeti Airlines Domestic and BCN Travels. NTB was represented by Mr. Pradeep Poudyal, Senior Officer and Mr. Sudhan Subedi, Senior Officer.
