Tourism of Nepal Promoted in Stuttgart, GermanyMonday, February 13th, 2017
STUTTGART, Germany, Jan. 23, 2017 - Nepal Tourism Board in coordination with Nepal German of Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NGCCI) participated in the German travel trade exhibition Caravan, Motors& Tourism (CMT) – 2017 in the German city of Stuttgart organized by Messe Stuttgart. The nine-day travel tourism expo concluded on Jan. 22 with huge footfalls and response of the prospective travelers from Germany and other neighboring countries. CMT- 2017 received around 250,000 visitors this year.
The beautifully decorated Nepal Stand was given a prime location at CMT 2017 hall and showcased Nepal’s tourism products based on adventure, nature and culture. Nepal mainly known for its world’s tallest magnificent mountains among westerners, got queries on trekking in the foothills of Himalayas and other adventure sport activities. The strong presence of Nepal at the expo also managed to convey the message of post earthquake normalcy, reconstruction and safety and security of travelers in Nepal.
Honorable Minister for Commerce Ms. Romi Gauchan Thakali highlighted on what Nepal had to offer to the German tourists and appealed to German people to help Nepal by traveling to Nepal at a press conference organized in coordination with Honorary Nepalese Consul General Mrs. Ann- Katrin Bauknecht in Stuttgart during the expo.
Similarly, His Excellency Ambassador of Nepal for Germany Mr. Ramesh Prasad Khanal applauded the help, cooperation and love the German people had shown towards Nepal. The famous German/Austrian Mt. Everest Summiteer Prof. Wolfgang Nairz and Mr. Manfred Haupl, CEO of a big German travel and tour company Hauser, also shared their positive thoughts and experience about Nepal.
