Nepal Promoted at IMTM 2017, Tel AvivWednesday, February 15th, 2017

TEL AVIV, Israel, Feb. 8, 2017 - Nepal Tourism Board along with four Nepali travel trade companies namely Four Brothers Travels & Tours, Netra Travel & Tours Pvt. Ltd., Classical Adventure Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd., and Above the Mountain Pvt. Ltd., has made successful participation at IMTM, a 2-day long international tourism industry show held at Tel Aviv, Israel between Feb. 7 – 8, 2017. IMTM is an event that offers multiple target markets (leisure, business and MICE) with a dedicated program for comprehensive experience for trade visitors.

The event was attended by good number of trade visitors, hospitality providers, foreign destinations, transport operators, tour operators, and technology developers. As this fair is concentrated in B2B and in general visiting trade and business fellows certainly creates a vital role in generating more tourists from Israel.

Nepal received around 7 thousand tourists from Israel in 2016. So this is the high time and right time to invest and more focus has to be given to allure more tourists from Israel. This is also in fact that Israel is the high-value tourist market for us as most of the Israeli travelers are interested for trekking and mountaineering which definitely generates high income.

Nepal also has good connection from Israel with Turkish airlines connecting via Istanbul and Israeli tourists can reach Nepal in the same day. Most of the travel agents and tour operators are willing to know the situation update after post-earthquake and are now ready to send in more guests to Nepal.

NTB in association with Nepal Embassy in Tel Aviv also organized Nepal Evening program to keep the Israeli media and tour operators updated about the recent situation of tourism in Nepal and also briefed the participants about the current and future programs in Israel to attract Israeli market. Former Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Hanan Gador made a comprehensive presentation about Nepal at the program. He also focused on the historic bilateral ties between Nepal and Israel.
