Nepal Tourism Sales Mission 2019 Organized in BangladeshThursday, May 2nd, 2019

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) with an objective of promoting Nepal as an exotic Himalayan holiday destination for Life time Experiences organized Nepal Tourism Sales Mission 2019 in co-ordination with Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka from April 23 to 25, 2019 in Chittagong, Sylhet and Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Eight travel trade companies from Nepal: Nepal Holiday Makers Travel & Tours, Baba Adventure Travel and Tours, Landmark Forest Park, Rainbow Adventures Tours and Travels, Noble Treks, Deeps Tours, Snow Land Travels & Tours, Adventure Himalaya Travels and Treks participated in the Nepal Tourism Sales Mission. Around 150 Bangladeshi tour operators and media had B2B interaction with Nepalese tour operators and delegates during the function in all the cities. Nepal Tourism Board gave a destination presentation and updates during the programs. Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Charge de’ Affaires from the Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka addressed the functions in Sylhet and Dhaka highlighting on the importance of bilateral tourism exchange and tourism promotion. He also highlighted on the importance of development of quality and sustainable tourism. Similarly, Mr. Gobinda Raj Oli, Manager from Nepal Tourism Board highlighted on the objective of the mission, prospects of Bangladeshi travel market for Nepalese tourism and made a presentation on tourism attractions of Nepal for Bangladeshi people. Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign was another highlight of the program.

Nepalese tourism companies had good platform for tourism business networking with Bangladeshi counterparts in all the cities.

Due to the robust outbound travel from Bangladesh, disposable income and rise in economic activities, Bangladesh is also one of the potential neighboring travel markets for Nepalese tourism industry.

According to the data of 2018, the tourist arrival from Bangladesh was 25,959 out of total number of 1,173,072 tourists.
